‘Our voice needs to be in the conversation
Vonner discusses why it is important for United Women in Faith to be present at General Conference.

Legislative priorities
Vonner describes several pieces of legislation it is promoting at General Conference, including propsals on Children’s Sabbath and church involvement in protecting voting rights.

‘We’ve got work to do on gender equity.’
United Women in Faith continue to give voice to the need for women to be in places of decision-making.

‘We’re starting to move backwards on voting rights.’
Vonner feels the need for the church to speak up and speak out about changes to the Voting Rights Act that would limit access.

‘Women will be front and center at General Conference.’
Vonner notes that the long history of the women’s agency equipping and raising up women into leadership positions has resulted in a significant presence for women as delegates.

A ‘gift of love’ for delegates
Vonner describes the beaded pins crafted by Native American artists that United Women in Faith will present to each delegate.

Celebrating a legacy while looking forward
United Women in Faith will be very present at General Conference, celebrating its new brand but also acknowledging its proud history.
