Clergy/Non-Clergy Budget Compensation Reports

Beginning with 2022, appointed clergy and lay pastors must utilize the Excel driven Clergy Budget Compensation Reports. This form will complete all calculations for you including Direct Invoice for the church’s share (employer share) of the pension and medical benefits. Detailed instructions are included on each form to help you. The employee share of the Insurance rates did not change for 2022 For the rate schedule, click here. Remember that if you list premiums, FSA, DCA or the H S A, you must utilize the conference system and the payments must come from the church whether by A C H (draft) or by check. Otherwise, the church Treasurer will have to do the correct computations when preparing the W-2 form. Below is a link to the 2022 forms and the new video with instructions on preparing the forms.

3 "L" Academy    

In the past, the Mississippi Conference Board of Pension sponsored a two-day educational session where we assisted clergy in modeling and teaching the United Methodist commitment to fully utilizing their time, talents, gifts, service, and witness.  During that session we explored new ways of doing stewardship and teaching generosity.

Local Church Administry Training

The financial leadership training provides counsel and guidance to strengthen the administrative and financial abilities of the local church treasurer, financial secretary, finance committee members, church business administrators and church Trustees. Topics covered are human resources, treasurer and pastor parish issues, statistical reporting, connectional giving, finance committee responsibilities, budget preparation, financial secretary duties and hints, treasurer responsibilities  and reporting, internal controls ,disciplinary requirement, auditing requirements and changes, and trustees responsibilities of the legal body as well as required work of it.
